Abstract 1
Racconto breve
Belino, 2062. X lavora in una discoteca, ed è l’addetto alla “generazione” delle tracce che devono essere eseguite in una serata nel club. È raro che ormai una discoteca paghi un musicista per suonare, le tracce vengono create attraverso un generatore automatico di pezzi. Il generatore fa uso di diversi input, quali le reazioni del pubblico a certe tracce, il numero di ascolti sulle piattaforme di diffusione musicale e in generale il godimento del cliente di fronte a certe caratteristiche di un pezzo musicale dance/elettronica per creare una traccia musicale perfettamente ballabile. Di base il suo lavoro è ridotto a quello di tecnico, quando un tempo chi si occupava della musica era un musicista e un artista. Un tempo Berlino, patria della musica elettronica e techno, era casa di centinaia di artisti e la scena musicale era sviluppatissima: a partire dal Krautrock negli anni ’70 fino alla musica techno degli anni ’90 e l’elettronica sperimentale dei primi anni del 2000. Per chi si interessa realmente alla musica, vecchie sale di produzione e registrazione sono diventate delle mete sacre, come alla ricerca di una antica essenza perduta. Nel suo girovagare, un giorno X trova in una sala di produzione un Korg MS 10 (oppure un ARP Odissey o un Minimoog, tbd) e scopre un mondo quasi del tutto dimenticato.

Racconto breve (prototipo)
Manhattan, 2062. Il racconto si vorrebbe basare su come Tiresia, mitico indovino della mitologia greca, avrebbe vissuto la vicenda personale che lo vede cambiare sesso, da uomo a donna (nelle Metamorfosi di Ovidio), nella Manhattan del 2062. Tiresia, un tempo avrebbe dovuto infatti aspettare anni prima di essere ritrasformato in uomo, ma con i mezzi che la moderna tecnica medica offre, come sarebbero andate le cose?
Di seguito, i passi che presentano il lemma "trascendere" in Out of Control di Kevin Kelly:
"The tiny bees in my hive are more or less unaware of their colony. By definition their collective hive mind must transcend their small bee minds. As we wire ourselves up into a hivish network, many things will emerge that we, as mere neurons in the network, don't expect, don't understand, can't control, or don't even perceive. DANA MEADOWS: "It strikes me as a little bit fatalistic to think that this isdesigned in the system to happen and we just lean back and watch it. Instead we modeled ourselves into it. Human intelligence comes in, perceives the whole situation, and makes changes in the human societal structure. So this reflects our mental picture of how the system transcends to the next stage-with intelligence that reaches in and restructures the system." (pag.550)

Oltre il limite, consevando coscienza
Da sempre abbiamo posseduto la tendenza a superare i limiti della nostra natura e che la finitezza ci ha imposto, di esplorare la terra di nessuno: ricordiamo solo di farlo conservando la nostra coscienza, in modo che funga da guida.
Da "Mauvais garçons: Portraits de tatoués" (Jérôme Pierrat & Eric Guillon, 2013), una raccolta di foto scattate dalle autorità carcerarie francesi fra il 1890 e il 1930. La raccolta descrive e interpreta una serie di tauaggi presenti sui detenuti: vendetta, tristezza, poesia, erotismo e ricordi dell' Africa coloniale.
